4.7L "ALUMINUM" SINGLE PLANE INTAKE MANIFOLD!

AIR RAM PERFORMANCE proud to bring you the SULLIVAN PERFORMANCE Aluminum Single plane intake manifold kit for your 1999-2007 4.7L engine. The ability comes with the use of our exclusive billet CNC'ed intake adapter plates which allow you to mount our Sullivan single plane intake manifold or ANY intake/supercharger designed to fit the 2003-2004 Cobra head spacing. To date there are several Ford intakes as well as several aftermarket intakes that can be mounted with the use of these spacers. This also includes the ability to mount the COBRA M112 supercharger and even the aftermarket superchargers like the Whipple Charger and Kenny Bell superchargers. You would have to address pulley alignment on those kits but the hard work has already been done.

Pictured to the right is the SULLIVAN PERFORMANCE INTAKE KIT viewed from the bottom. This kit comes complete with every thing you need to mount the Sullivan intake on your 4.7L. ** Modification of your fuel rail and extension of your TPI & IAC plugs to reach the new throttle body locations is required.

Finally an alternative to the factory long runner intake manifold. Available for carburetor or fuel injected applications this intake is ideal for use in hi-performance 4.7L engines.

The intake is designed for optimum use in the 2500 to 7500 RPM range. It features plenty of material for porting very high horsepower applications. These hi-flow intakes work well for forced induction applications.

The plenum dividers were designed to balance airflow into the runners for equal airflow to each runner. The intake is compatible with 99-up SOHC 4.7L heads and can be used with any square bore carburetor or throttle body using the standard Holley 4150? Carburetor mount.

Our SCAT RODS are well... SCAT! We offer the ONLY SCAT RODS for the 4.7L engine in both H-Beam and I-Beam! Better yet we offer the ONLY Forged Rod that is a direct bolt on to your factory crank. We did ALL the work for you! You can even use your factory standard size bearings with our Rods. These rods are .002 longer then your stock rods and are intended to be used with our ROSS pistons and set Compression height. We recomend the I-Beam Rods for several reasons. #1. They will handle more than you will ever make (850HP+). 2# they are much lighter than the H-Beam Rods which will make balancing your rotating assembly much easier and finally 3# they will cost you less! When it comes to Rods, we have you covered.

Horsepower
The main reason to run this product is pure and simple... Horsepower. A solid lifter valve train is more consistent, opens to a greater extent, and closes faster than a hydraulic setup. This translates into better control of the valve train, as well as more duration spent at higher flow valve lifts. In essence, more high rpm power is found by eliminating the physical "collapse" (and resulting power loss) experienced by hydraulic lifters at certain rpm thresholds and valve spring pressure levels. The stronger your valve springs, the sooner this collapse will occur with hydraulics! Likewise, fluctuations in oil pressure will affect the operation of your hydraulic lifters, not so with this solid lifter conversion. As a result, the our Solid Lifters allow for higher spring pressures to be run, as well as, more aggressive camshaft lifts. So go ahead, REV IT UP!

Drive-ability & the Dreaded "lifter tic"
Aside from the increased top-end horsepower and potential to turn your engine faster, drive-ability and low rpm power are also increased by closing the valves quicker and thus keeping cylinder pressures consistently higher. Your engine will even idle better and rid itself of the dreaded "lifter tic". The loud, obnoxious "tic, tic, tic...." you hear, when you start your car in the morning, is caused by excessive valve lash. Your hydraulic lifters are designed to eliminate all valve lash. However, after time, the internal mechanism gets dirty and/or begins to stick, thus preventing the rocker arm pivot from moving upwards to do its job. The problem can sometimes be induced by prolonged periods of time. thicker oil weights, cold weather, or simply leaving your car parked for Our Solid Lifters will set the valve lash to spec and keep it there until you decide to re-adjust it.

They will offer approximately 20RWHP and work real well with ported heads, 2008 intake and 70MM F&B throttle body. Toss in a SUPERCHIPS tune and you will be having the HEMI owners asking you what you did to your HEMI to make it so quick... When you tell them its a 4.7L they will not know what to say... you may see some tears though so be ready.

This intake is BETTER then the heavily sought after 2002 H/O intake manifold. Unlike the 1999-2007 intake manifolds that use a 3-bolt throttle body with a cable attached to the gas peddle to the throttle body, the 2008 intake manifold was designed to be run with a computer controlled 4-bolt throttle body. This conversion was not possible until we designed our CNC'ed adapter plates that allow us to mount the 3-bolt throttle body to the new 2008-2011 4-bolt throttle body bolt pattern.

4.7L EATON M112 & WHIPPLE PROJECT



Here is the LOWER intake manifold to the 2003-2004 COBRA... as you can see, it sits nicely onto the Dodge 4.7L engine. With this LOWER INTAKE manifold you have several options to run with... you could go with the factory Eaton M112 for 10-13PSi... or you could go with a 2.8L Kenny bell or even bolt of the 3.4L Whipple charger... All these companies make bolt on blowers for this lower intake manifold from the 2003-2004 4V Mustang cobra.

Here we have our 4.7L to 4.6L adapter plates and physically mounted up the Eaton Supercharger from a 2003-2004 FORD COBRA to a 2006 H/O 4.7L engine... With the AIR RAM INTAKE ADAPTERS you have the freedom to chose more intakes. The hard part is completed, all we have left is pulley alignment and vacuum lines and a few ins and outs. If it will bolt up to a 4V 4.6L ford... then our plates will allow you to mount that same intake to the 4.7L engine.
